CDAT offers several assessments that can help you to understand where your child is in his or her development and some activities that are designed to enhance areas that may need strengthening. The following is a partial listing of the assessments we can provide, but additional services may be available. Please contact us for a consultation to discuss your particular needs.
This evaluation includes investigation of specific learning abilities and behaviors exhibited by your child and is completed through a play-based assessment approach for younger children and standardized testing for older children. After the evaluation, a follow-up visit will be scheduled where you will receive a full report summary and suggested activities.
These one-hour in-office appointments build on the results of the Initial Developmental Evaluation and Screening and include activities and educational and behavioral progress monitoring.
This one-hour evaluation includes the Initial Developmental Evaluation, but the visit is conducted in the familiar surroundings of your child’s home, where a natural environment can give insights into conditioned skills and behaviors.
This in-office visit offers you insights into how your child learns to help parents and other professionals help the child reach his or her potential. Included is a report summary and one follow-up visit to discuss findings.
These one-hour school visitations offer you insight into your child’s classroom experience, including teacher and peer interactions, and assess behaviors of concern.
This comprehensive, in-office visit includes the testing, a full report, and one follow-up visit to discuss the report and findings.
These one-hour sessions include interventions and resources available for services related to the disability and include a written summary.
Other testing for specific learning abilities, evaluation, and interpretations are available and are tailored to your child’s needs. For more information on these individualized evaluations, please call for an initial consultation.
Educational services are not generally covered by medical insurance. However, some insurance companies will cover an initial evaluation. Please check with your insurance provider for details.
